After School Tutoring

A boy drops a stone down a well and hears the splash from the bottom after three seconds. Given that sound travels at a constant speed of 300 m/s and the acceleration of the stone due to gravity is 10 m/s2, how deep is the well?

My Story:
I graduated from East Central University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, then went on to OU and earned a Master degree in Biostatistics. BOOMER SOONER!!! After graduating from OU I went to North Carolina and worked in Quality Control. When I moved back to Oklahoma I worked as an adjunct professor in the math dept. at East Central University and part time for Byng Schools. In 2001 I became a full time math teacher in the Junior High where I currently teach 9th grade Algebra I. Thank you for sharing your child with me!
